Bermuda has no Uber or Lyft, and almost none of the island's hotels run their own airport shuttle. Every arriving flight leaves its passengers in one taxi queue outside the arrivals hall at L.F. Wade International Airport, and at peak times that queue moves slowly. A pre-booked airport transfer skips it: your driver is already inside the hall holding a sign with your name, the fare was fixed when you booked, and there is nothing to pay in the car.
Once you have arrived, the same drivers take you anywhere on the island. Flagging a taxi outside Hamilton can mean a long wait, so an island trip booked the day before, with a fixed fare and a driver at the hotel entrance at the time you chose, is the reliable way to reach a beach, a restaurant, the ferry, or a dive boat.
Every driver on our platform is a licensed Bermuda taxi operator registered with the Public Service Vehicles Licensing Board. On airport transfers they track your flight, so an early or late arrival simply moves the pickup, and on every trip you get their name and phone number as soon as they accept your booking.
The airport sits at the eastern tip of the island in St. George's Parish, so drive time depends almost entirely on how far west your hotel is. Resorts around Castle Harbour and Tucker's Town are under ten minutes away. Hotels in the City of Hamilton and along the Pembroke and Paget shore take 20 to 30 minutes. The South Shore resorts in Warwick and Southampton take just over half an hour, and the Royal Naval Dockyard at the far western end is around 45 minutes. Fares are based on the measured distance of the trip, the number of passengers, and, on airport transfers, your luggage, and are quoted in full before you pay. A regular vehicle seats up to 4 passengers; groups of 5 to 7, or smaller parties with a lot of hold luggage, are priced for a larger vehicle. Night, Sunday, and public-holiday pickups carry the standard Bermuda taxi surcharge, which is already included in the price you see.
